Exploring Emotions and Emotional Self-Regulation through Art
Therapeutic Art Groups led by Amy Parlin Feldman, M.Ed. LEP
I am excited to be partnering with Sticky Art Lab to offer arts-based therapeutic groups this fall! These groups are designed for children and adolescents who need support with emotional self-understanding and emotional self-regulation.
Sessions will include expressive visual art projects paired with guided discussions and mini lessons. Groups will be capped at six participants to maintain a calm and supportive environment.
Appropriate for neurotypical and neurodivergent students. LGBTQIA+ welcoming.
Participants will:
Deepen their understanding of how feelings feel inside their bodies
Use visual tools to explore different emotional states
Practice using emotional self-regulation tools to cope when feelings are overwhelming
Build confidence and self-understanding
Have fun and make art in a small, supportive setting
